Data Storage
WVU offers low-cost or no-cost data storage for most research projects. Projects requiring compliance with federal policies or those managing large data sets (above 2TB) may incur additional costs.
Software
WVU offers standard, baseline software to all employees (this will differ for students who are not employees on a research project). Additional software commonly used for research is pre-approved and available at an additional cost.
Budget Guidance
The WVU Research Office, ITS, WV CTSI, and the Library provide this information to assist researchers in understanding the costs associated with data and technology supporting research.
